Submerging into Arabic electronics and analogue movie footage

When an artist requests the largest screen available on stage, you can usually be sure about one thing: this is going to be a pretty intense show. And indeed, a performance by the Lebanese-Canadian duo Jerusalem In My Heart proves to be exactly that: a multimedia experience with a whole lot of lighting and noise into which you can fully immerse yourself. Sometimes via an explosion of sound, accompanied by Arabic guttural sounds with raw analogue film footage. At other moments through a little gentle bouzouk plucking with an electronic undertone.

Previously – at the Rewire and Le Guess Who? festivals – the Radwan Ghazi Moumneh and Erin Weisgerber duo proved perfectly capable of inciting the crowd with their engaging set.
