Rechtbankproza (Court Prose) was the sequel to the previous successful projects Ziekenhuisproza (Hospital Prose) and Middenstandproza (Retailers Prose). Four young writers engaged in conversation with court employees, including a criminal court judge, a porter and a police officer.
a bridge between the artistic world and law court life
Based on the stories and anecdotes they were told, the young writers created a new, fictional story. On Saturday evening at Explore the North, the stories were read out by the employees who were interviewed themselves. A court magistrate overstepping the lines? You could judge for yourself! The participating writers: Yentl van Stokkum, Martin Rombouts, Emma Stomp and Christiaan Lomans.
This programme part was Dutch spoken. You can find more information about the writers and some of the texts on the Dutch page of this project.
