During Explore the North 2013, the Synagogue served as venue for a wonderful one-off project of songwriter Kim Janssen. Not only did he be perform his touching folk songs backed by a large band, but the Leeuwarder Kamerkoor, a chamber choir, also be accompanied him. Songs so fragile in nature have never been paired so well with such a grand gesture.
