De Relaxerette created by artist Arjan Kruidhof is a revolving installation that conveys you to another perspective. Lying in a hammock, you’re gazing at the sky. You don headphones and close your eyes. You hear stories and sounds that set your thoughts on hold for a moment. You can choose between the riveting rush of words from Marc van der Holst, the melancholy of Marieke Lucas Rijneveld, or one of the other stories written by Jamila Faber, Heksenhamer and Pieter van der Sman. Jolle Roelofs created a soundscape especially for De Relaxerette, which will allow you to escape this overflowing world for a while.

During Explore the North 2018 De Relaxerette stood in front of the railway station. That summer the project toured along different festival, in example Oerol, Oranjewoud Festival, Simmerdeis, Noorderzon, Admiraliteitsdagen. After a well acclaimed year with a lot of visitors De Relaxerette was programmed at amongst others the SIFA festival in Singapore!
