NORWEGIAN FOLK MUSIC SOFT AS WHISPERS
The intimate, delicate songs of Siv Jakobsen seem to have been lifted straight from her diary. The beautiful folk music of the Norwegian singer-songwriter, soft as whispers, will appeal to anyone who appreciates Ane Brun and Angel Olsen. Her first EP, The Lingering, received a lot of attention from the BBC and led to gigs supporting acts such as Damien Jurado and SOAK.

“The album is largely about leaving places and people behind, both physically and mentally. I am no good in a face-to-face argument, so my songs are my way of expressing the words I have a hard time speaking 'in real life.'”
