Renowned Dutch harpist soothes you with hopeful soundscapes

For his most recent record, Shadows (2019), Remy van Kesteren, the most famous harp player in the Netherlands, took an entirely new approach: instead of setting harp centre stage like he usually would, this time round he composed on piano and guitar. At Explore the North he will prove that disrupting matters can be astonishingly fruitful. Not only does he harness a rich array of sounds taken from electronica, ambient, jazz, pop and classical music, he also deploys an orchestra comprising tiny robots directed by a computer. The Bonifatiuskerk will serve as beautiful backdrop to the hopeful soundscapes featuring visuals by light art collective Het Blauwe Uur, culminating in a liberating yet restful experience.
