Overwhelming musical experience in the St. Bonifatiuskerk
His virtuoso violin, banjo, mandolin and musical saw all feature on albums of artists and bands including M. Ward, Efterklang, and Horse Feathers, while he has also collaborated with Nils Frahm, Chantal Acda (also performing at Explore this year) and Olafur Arnalds. To call multi-instrumentalist, composer and songwriter Peter Broderick a jack-of-all-trades is quite an understatement. Witnessing a solo performance by Broderick is an overwhelming musical experience which is difficult to put into words. It’s actually pretty much the way he himself describes the world:
“I love the idea that perhaps no matter how many words we invent, no matter how much we dig to understand our experience, that we’ll never be able to understand it all, and that maybe the best way to describe this vast intergalactic-multidimensional-neverending-neverbeginning-mishmash-kaleidoscope-of-life is with no words at all.”
