Musical improvisation by brilliant trio based on lost words

Can you base musical improvisation on sentences that never made it into a book or song? That sounds like the kind of dream project that Explore the North loves. It also happens to be exactly what singer Pitou does in Lost Lines. She received sentences from writers and performers like Toon Tellegen, Spinvis and Wende Sneijders, which hadn’t made the cut for their book or song. These ‘lost words’ formed the basis for an improvisation by Pitou, multi-instrumentalist Frank Wienk (a.k.a. Binkbeats) and drummer Mischa Porte. The brilliant trio uses the words to form the foundation for a surprising live composition, while the audience can simultaneously read the projected words. It is an ode to the creation of any work.
