INTIMATE AND POWERFUL MUSIC WITH A MESSAGE
Anne-Fay is a multifaceted performer who has been creating her own productions since 2018, together with her brother and film director Felix Kops. The siblings went out in search of their roots, visiting Aruba, Curaçao, Suriname and Ghana in the process of piecing together their family history and how this involved slavery. Their 2021 album Reaspora was the result, alongside a performance including music, dance and video footage. The music this resulted in is an amalgam of soul and hip hop, with a dash of gospel.
