Zambian artist Kaleo Sansaa will mesmerise you at Explore the North with an Afrofuturistic show suffused with hope. Let yourself be astounded by unexpected song structures and a maverick mix of hip-hop, soul and dub influences. Her deep, intense vocals are the perfect medium for her poetic tales, sung in English and Bemba, the language spoken in north-east Zambia. Last year Kaleo Sansaa released her first EP, Purple Moon, including an accompanying short movie that immediately was acclaimed ‘Best Music Video’ at the Berlin Short Film Festival.
