Festive melodic trip to the Mediterranean

This Explore, IepenUP will be presenting a festive evening filled with music played live by musicians from around the world. All of them came to the Netherlands in recent years to build a new life here. Together we will be reflecting on NEW FACES, a project in which youth with a refugee background volunteered at festivals such as Oerol, Into the Great Wide Open, Welcome to the Village and Explore the North. Musicians Stefanos Filos (violin), Pit Hermans (cimbalom) and Mohamad Alnaser (oud) will be providing an impressive melodic trip to the Mediterranean. Another artwork to admire will be the gigantic joint poem on the side of De Harmonie: New Faces, Shared Dreams. In this project by Morten Søndergaard, the wishes, hopes and visions are depicted of people who recently fled to the Netherlands. The night will be concluded with performances by DJs.

The projection will take place 16–25 November.

This project is free of charge.
